The Challenge: One of the biohazard containment rooms in the Tuberculosis Ward required periodical cleaning using formaldehyde in order to kill TB germs. The noxious gases were migrating to other areas from cracks, holes and penetrations in the room’s surfaces.

Benefits Desired:

  • Class A Fire Rating
  • 20 Year Warranty
  • Washable and durable surface
  • Ability to bridge cracks while remaining flexible
  • No product odor
  • Easy to apply

Results: GLOBAL Encasement’s award winning Class A Fire Rated LeadLock products, PrepLESS Primer, GE-15 Acrylic Caulk and LeadLockTopCoat were used to design a system that was not only washable and durable but also filled in cracks, holes and penetrations preventing the seepage and migration of noxious gases into other areas not being treated. The mild odor, easy to use products were applied without disrupting services in adjoining areas.
